Meet the Does:

     ArborGoat's Cypress Kauri (2014)

Kauri was born on June 26th, 2014 the day I got back from a trip to Italy. She was a hardy little kid, born second to her twin brother Kiwi, she was up first and nursing within 15 minutes. I am excited to see what she will bring to the farm next year. Kauri peaked in lactation as a first freshener with just over a gallon of milk a day. Her capacity is good, her medial attachments are great, she wings out more than I would like, and her fore-udder attachment is weak.

February 19th, 2017 - Buck/Doe Twins (Buck: Mica)

She will be bred in November for April 2018 kidding.

     Arbor Goats Juniper Laurel (2015)

Laurel was born April 19, 2015. She is 50% American Oberhasli, 25% American Alpine, and 25% Boer. One of twins, she developed heavier bone and a thicker body than her brother who grew tall and narrow. Her dam freshened with a smaller udder, high attachments, but little fore-udder and lacking in capacity.

March 8th, 2017 - Buck/Doe Twins (Buck: Malachite)

She will be bred in November for April 2018 kidding.

ArborGoats Kauri Nyssa (2017)

Nyssa is a very correct doe, that is growing phenomenally. She is developing lovely dairy character and is bigger framed and hardier than her dam. She is 50% American Sable and 50% American Alpine.

Nyssa will be bred in the fall of 2018.

ArborGoats Cypress Nutmeg (2017)

Nutmeg is a promising little doe, registered with ADGA she is 50% American Sable and 50% American Alpine. By far the most laid back of all the doelings born this year, she managed to hook a nail through her cornet band and down into her hoof. It took a little while and lots of TLC but she is back on tract and doing great.

Nutmeg won't be bred until the fall of 2018.

ArborGoats Cypress Nightshade (2017)

Nightshade is Nutmeg's shorter and stockier twin. More level than her sister and with a slightly better hip, this doe has been full of personality since she was born. Constantly in your pocket and hollering for attention, this very dairy doe should mature nicely. She is also 50% American Sable and 50% American Alpine.

Nightshade will be bred in the fall of 2018.

ArborGoats Laurel Nettle (2017)

Nettle is a 62.5% American Alpine/25% Oberhasli, and 12.5% Boer born in March. A spitfire through and through this girl is all about her mama. So far she is hardy, and has the best feet of kids born this year. She has a very refined feminine head, and a very dairy appearance.

Nettle will be bred in the fall of 2018.

     Elk-Creek Marge Cypress (2010-2017)

Cypress is an ADGA registered American Alpine. She was born March 10, 2010 and has successfully kidded twice with me. At peak she was milking approximately 1 gallon a day.

March 11, 2013 - Single Doe (Buck: Boer)

June 26, 2014 - Buck/Doe Twins (Buck: Jupiter)

February 26, 2017 - Twin Does (Buck - Mica)

   ArborGoats Cypress  Juniper (2013-2017)

Juniper was born March 11th, 2013. She is 50% Boer and 50% American Alpine. She is a big girl! At seven months old she already weighed more than mother Cypress and at 15 months old weighs 165 lbs. She is a very nice solid example of what a quality Boer cross can look like. It will be interesting to see what her udder looks like in the Spring after she freshens for the first time.
